| FCS&CA organizes Jan Abhiyan programme at Vijaypur | | |  Early Times Report
Samba, Oct 1: The Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs organized a Jan Abhiyan / Awami Muhim Programme at Tehsil Vijaypur , District Samba.
The Director, FCS&CA Jammu Division S. Jatinder Singh , KAS, Assistant Director , Samba Joginder Singh, Tehsil Supply Officer of District Samba alongwith staff present on the occasion heard the problems being faced by the rationees during the programme .
The rationees were apprised of the functioning of the department and the important role played by the fair Price Shop Dealers of District Samba in free and fair distribution of the Ration under nation Food Security Act (NFSA) and Jammu and Kashmir Food Entitlement Scheme (JKFES) . The achievements made by the Fair Price Dealers in Aadhar Seeding both at Ration Card (RC) / Beneficiaries Level POS transactions for fair distribution of Ration to the genuine rationees were also discussed. It was apprised by the Assistant Director , Samba that the Department is also distributing free ration to the rationees under Centrally Sponsored Schemes like Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojna (PMGKAY) and Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (ANBA) in prevailing crises of COVID-19. The Director , FCS&CA,Jammu also highlighted about the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) scheme that has been adopted by the UT of Jammu and Kashmir for the benefit of Rationees of other states / UTs presently residing here in getting ration on the basis of Aadhar linkage .
