10/10/2020 12:03:38 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 9: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out a protest against the baridars who are demanding the control of Shri Mata Vasihno Devi from the Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine board.
The party workers raised slogans “Baridars Nahi Chalenge” as a sign of protest against there demand for the control of Holy shrine. Ashok Gupta stated that the Baridars took out a protest rally in Katra against the shrine board which portrays such a bad image of the Hindu religion as it shows that there is a divided amongst the community for the control of the Shrine.
Shri Mata Vaishnodevi shrine board was established in 1986 ,by then governor of Jammu Kashmir-. The board did a commendable job building infrastructure along the path to Vaishnodevi ji cave from the base camp katra town. New tiled path was laid down, various buildings were erected at bhawan and in katra town to facilitate pilgrims.
A motorable road has been constructed by the board which will lead directly to bhawan. There was a time when the path was not even suitable for pony or horse to cross and now even the cars can reach the bhawan, Gupta said. The management, administration and governance of the holy cave shrine including right of offerings always remained with the Baridars before it was taken over by the state in 1986.
