Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 17: District Legal Services Authority, Jammu today organized an awareness camp in collaboration in the Ayush (ISM) here at Central Jail Kot Bhalwal for imparting knowledge to the Prisoners, prison administrators and staff and all persons associated with prisons on way, method and measures to be adopted to combat Covid -19 infection in the premises/
The camp was held strictly in adherence with jail manual and with all the SOPs issued by the government.
The ISM department distributed immunity boosters and Ayurvedic medicines, specially designed to enhance human immunity to fight COVID-19 infection, amongst the inmates of Central Jail Kot Bhalwal.
ISM medicos, Dr. Gareema Sharma and Dr Nidhi Sharma informed the inmates about the Ayurvedic medicines/immune boosters, which boost the immune system. They said these medicines do not provide permanent protection from Corona Virus infection but as their key ingredients being totally natural, if taken in prescribed manner do prompt the human bodies to produce enough anti-bodies which will block the Corona Virus invasion into the body’s healthy cells without any side effects and thus will help in controlling the pandemic to a very large extent.
Dr. Gareema and Dr. Nidhi also demonstrated certain Yoga Aasans, breathing exercise before the Jail inmates which can also boost the immunity metabolism to fight against Covid-19 infection.
Explaining, while distributing the medicines, Secretary DLSA Jammu, Naushad Ahmed Khan, Dr. Garema, Dr. Nidhi and other officials of DLSA Jammu urged the recipients/detainees to always wear face covering, wash their hands regularly, maintain social distance, keep surrounding clean and always stay hygiene conscious.
Secretary DLSA Jammu and Superintendent Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu, Dinesh Gupta also interacted with the inmates and listened to their grievances.
