Act against traitors
10/20/2020 12:26:43 AM

If New Delhi decides to act against National Conference President Farooq Abdullah for seeking help from China to restore J&K’s special status it will be a good move as it will serve as a deterrent for the Kashmir centric leaders, who are making attempts to glorify the enemy.
According to the media reports the Centre has taken a strong note of Farooq Abdullah’s statement to seek China’s help. BJP’s national spokesman Dr Sambit Patra while addressing a news conference in New Delhi recently called Farooq Abdullah a “traitor.”
A day after Patra called Abdullah a traitor, a team of the Enforcement Directorate questioned the former J&K chief minister in Srinagar in connection with the multi crore JKCA scam. It seems to be a beginning of noose being tightened around senior Abdullah? Besides this scam there are many other issues on which Farooq Abdullah can get cornered.
It’s evident that after seeking China’s help the NC president has ended up in a mess. There are reports that his security cover will also be downgraded and his wings can be clipped.
If Farooq Abdullah is allowed to glorify the enemy it can lead to setting up of another narrative in J&K. This has to be stopped here only and the Centre needs to act.
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, who was released recently, too is talking in a language which is not acceptable.
One fails to understand why leaders like Abdullahs and Mufti love enemy countries.
Prior to August 5, 2019, when the Centre decided to revoke J&K’s special status, these Kashmir centric leaders used to leave no opportunity to appease Pakistan and tell the people that Kashmir is an unresolved issue.
After J&K’s reorganization these leaders have been left red faced as all their blatant lies which they propagated for so many years stand punctured. Now, they have started talking about China and are once again trying to blackmail New Delhi.
But these leaders have to be reminded that India has changed and in New India traitors are not welcome.
Ones who will glorify the enemy will have to face the law of the land and they can be even booked for sedition.
Kashmir centric leaders should realize that they cannot sail in two boats anymore and they have to choose, which way they want to go.
If they keep on throwing tantrums they can end up in a big mess.
