Jammu, Oct 19: SCERT J&K conducted webinar on - “Equitable & Inclusive Education for All Opportunities & Challenges-vis-a-vis J&K”.
In continuation to its current series of Webinars on NEP-2020, newly created SCERT J&K concluded its 6th Webinar today on the topic- “Equitable & Inclusive Education for All: Opportunities & Challenges – vis-a-vis J&K.” SCERT J&K, in its unique initiative is providing an opportunity to every stakeholder to come forward and register his concern so that NEP-2020 be implemented in J&K as per local needs and aspirations.
Today’s session began with two back to back powerful presentations one from Team SCERT Jammu, headed by Deepak Sharma, Sr.Academic Officer comprising Tapasya Sharma, Rakhi Atri, Sabeta Kohli, Pooja Sharma and Akash Khajuria and other by Team SCERT Kashmir headed by Dr Rabia Naseem Mughal, Academic Officer comprising Rubeena Salma, Shagufta Nazir, Urfana Amin and Iffat Nazir.
Both the presentators dwelt the issues relating to gender sensitivity, needs of CWSNs with reference to RPWD Act-2016, needs of Tribal and disadvantaged groups, setting up of Special Educators on permanent basis for CWSNs, comprehensively.
Penalists of the Day Dr.Firdous Ahmed Sofal, Assistant Professor, Department of Education Central University of Kashmir and Dr.Mohit Sharma, Asstt Professor, Deptt of Public Policy and Public Administration, Central University of Jammu, laid emphasis on orientation & sensitization of School Administrators & Academicians to implement the policy in letter and spirit.
Open Question Answer session, with a fair and frank deliberations to clear the doubts of participants remained the hallmark of this webinar. Participants asked questions of diverse nature showcasing keen interest and lively and vibrant look to webinar.
Session chair, Dr Anupam Ahuja, Prof Department of Education of Groups with Special Needs, NCERT New Delhi in her expert comments put thrust on Inclusive Learning providing equal opportunities to each and every child as per the spirit and intent of our constitution, as well as, NEP-2020.
Director SCERT J&K Prof Veena Pandita thanked Prof Ahuja for sparing her valuable time. She also thanked the penalists & other dignitaries for making this webinar, a great success.
