| Home Guards Employees stage protest demonstration | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 19: A protest demonstration of Home Guards Employees led by its President Kamla Sharma to project their demands.
She also urged upon the Government to implement the Supreme Court’s order which has already been implemented other UT States of India like in UT Delhi where Home Guards employees are getting @ Rs. 21,3601 including allowances Besides Pondicherry @ Rs. 23,731/- including all allowances, while as in UT Chandigarh they are getting @ 36,000/- including all allowances. In Lakshdeep UT @ Rs. 19260/- including all allowances whereas Home Guard employees in J&K state after declaring of UT are still lagging behind. She further has said that government should frame some concrete Policy in favour of H.G employees so that they may not suffer any more as H.G employees are struggling for their right since long time. She has further suggested to call off stoppage of usual break of two years. More so if the Government feels any paucity of funds budget may frame such type of Policy which suits their capacity.
It is pertinent to mention here that constable in Police department has been drawing Rs. 3,000/- P/Day whereas he Home Guards employees are getting very less salary in comparison them while they Home Guards are performing the same duty this anomaly be also removed.
Sharma has further urged upon the Government to adhere the genuine grievances of the Home Guards employees moreover they H.G employees be graced with some handful of rewards on occasion of coming Festivals.
