| Tehsildar North imparts awareness at Parade Ground Fair | | |

JAMMU, Oct 20: Tehsildar Jammu (North) Jai Singh imparted awareness among general public during a public fair held here at Parade Ground on Tuesday. While interacting with the people he said that the government's move is aimed at providing relief to people from the hassle of visiting the offices of Tehsildars to apply for domicile certificates. Singh said that the objective of the campaign is that people get their domicile certificates at the doorsteps. He said that the administration is organizing camps to provide the domicile certificates under proper SOPs in view of Covid-19. Jai Singh cautioned that his office has recieved information that some so called agents are luring innocent people on the pretext of making their domiciles after fleecing them and taking away their hard earned money to the tune of Rs 500 to 1000. He categorically denied that there is no provision to get such certificates by means of giving extra money and asked people to remain vigilant against such touts by not entertaining their illegitimate demands of extra money or bribe as these certificates are being made free of cost. |
