Several new dev works launched in major Towns of Doda

DODA, Oct 20: Several new developmental works were launched and completed assets were inaugurated today across the three major towns of District Doda on the last day of My Town My Pride programme.
Commissioner Secretary Labour & Employment Department, Sourabh Bhagat; Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Imam Din and Additional Secretary Hospitality and Protocol, Pawan Singh Rathore were the visiting officers for Municipal Council Doda, Municipal Committee Bhaderwah and MC Thathri, respectively.
The Commissioner Secretary inaugurated interlocking tile work in ward no. 15, construction of alternate approach Road to Court Complex, and community toilet at Eid Ghah .
He also handed over the house constructed under PMAY -U to a beneficiary and gave away 44 Table Tennis Tables to heads of the Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools of the town.
The My Town My Pride Programme aims at energizing ULBs and directing development efforts in town areas through community participation.
Besides, a slew of activities were conducted by the Visiting Officers in the presence of the ULB members and locals in all the three towns of the District.
At MC Doda, the visiting officer also interacted with District officers of all departments and inspected stalls of the departments put up to educate the people about their respective schemes. A cultural programme was also held at Boys Higher Secondary School.
Similar functions and events were organised at MC Bhaderwah and Thathri.
At Bhaderwah visiting officer Pawan Singh Rathore, presided over the public hearing and held other scheduled activities along with the ULB representatives, while at MC Thathri, Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing Imam Din convened the scheduled activities.
