DDC Reasi flags-off group of 50 students for trekking expedition

REASI, Oct 20: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib on Tuesday flagged off a group of 50 students for a trekking expedition to different areas as per the routes finalised by the Department of Youth services and Sports.
The five day long trekking camp has been organised by Youth Services and sports office and consists of 50 trekkers (boys) of different schools of the district. The trekkers shall visit Sulla Park, Bidda, Said Baba and Bhimgarah Fort.
The DDC interacted with the young trekkers and advised them to enjoy their trekking expedition and avoid littering on the way, particularly throwing polythene and other things which pollute the nature.
She said such activities play a pivotal role in channelizing the energy of the students in the positive directions.
DDC also distributed Track suits among the students and asked them to follow all the SOPs guidelines to avoid the risk of COVID19 infection.
Assistant Director Legal Meteorology, Pushkar Raj, DYSSO, Subash Chander, trekking guides and other concerned officers and of DYSSO were present on the occasion.
