Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct, 21: Sending a clear message to security forces not to touch any innocent and not to leave any culprit, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said if people sleep at ease it is because of the police force who work tirelessly to protect Jammu and Kashmir from the evil forces and militants supported by our neighbor (Pakistan).
"The message should be clear that "don't touch the innocents & don't leave the culprits". Mr Sinha said after laying floral wreath at the Martyr Memorial at Armed Police Complex Zewan in the city outskirts.
The police commemoration parade is observed every year across the country on this day as a mark of respect to the martyrs, who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
"On this day, I bow to the great martyrs who fought till their last breath to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Their supreme sacrifice will be eternally etched in the memory of J&K and the nation. We salute our immortal heroes and their unparalleled courage" LG said in his address.
