| CUJ to introduce Microbiology, Biochemistry subjects | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, October, 21: Cluster University of Jammu (CUJ) conducted its Second Academic Council Meeting through online mode under the Chairmanship of Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Vice Chancellor. The meeting started with the welcome address of the Vice Chancellor underlining the importance of the Academic Council which is the highest decision making body of the University to set future academic plans.
The Academic Council approved guidelines for introducing online SWAYAM (MOOCs) courses at UG and PG level which will be a maximum of 20% of total courses in a semester. The Academic Council also endorsed in principle to introduce the subjects of Microbiology and Biochemistry at UG and PG level, as these courses are highly employable. About 30 agenda items were presented by Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu. All the items were discussed in detail along with the action taken report on the resolutions of the First Academic Council. The Council recommended to the higher bodies for institution of University Gold Medal at UG and PG level in each programme for meritorious students and also acceptance of endowments of the University. It was also endorsed by the Council that the University will adopt the fee structure of the session 2019-20 for the students of the current session 2020-21 and also charge the annual fee in two instalments. |
