DSEJ's 4 day online training for Mathematics teachers concludes

JAMMU, Oct, 21: Four day virtual training organised by Directorate of School Education Jammu, in collaboration with Jnana Prabhodini, a Puna based organisation, official partner of MOE in DIKSHA and Vidyadaan, for Mathematics teachers of class 6th to 12th concluded today.
The training was conducted with the aim of brushing up the skills of teachers for the classroom.
Experts from Jnana Prabhodini held the sessions and gave firsthand knowledge of various tools and techniques used while teaching Mathematics in classroo. The teachers were also trained in making quality e-content in mathematics for virtual classes and encouraged to develop e-content for DIKSHA, Vidyadaan and SARAL platfor.
Important Topics like Phet simulation, integration of technology in teaching, creating flash animation, animation script etc, related to effective content creation were discussed during the training. The training was inaugurated by Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta. Director School Education said that such training and workshops help in creating and developing the habit of using technology in the teaching-learning process. She added that the Directorate of School Education Jammu was committed towards providing quality education to the students during COVID-19 pandemic as well. Initiating the digital initiatives like Home classes, Home assignments and launching of SARAL Education app. was an attempt to compensate the loss suffered by the students due to the present COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
These initiatives will remain operational even after the pandemic, she divulged during her inaugural speech. 120 teachers from Jammu Division participated in the training covering all the 10 districts of Jammu Division.
"The training was very effective and we request Director School Education Jammu to organise such training in future also", said one of the participating teachers, echoing the sentiments of the teaching community. Besides, Ajit Rao Kanikar, Secretory Jnana Prabhodini, Leslie D' Souza from Maerk Company, Kiran Barve, and Palavi Paradkar were also present during the inaugural session. The program was Successfully coordinated by . Harish Sharma Teacher DIET Poonch under overall supervision of Sohail Wani incharge IT Cell @ DSEJ.
