POONCH, Oct, 21: The district administration Poonch under the overall supervision of the District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav on Wednesday organised Block Diwas, here at block Mehndar.
A series of activities were organised which witnessed overwhelming public response. The people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of the issues and demands of their respective areas.
The District Development Commissioner chaired the Block Diwas at Mehndar where huge public along with their elected representatives participated in the programme and raised a number of issues pertaining to their areas including inadequate water supply, need for macadamization and renovation of roads, upgradation of schools, better health services and related issues.
The DDC, after listening to all the issues and demands projected during the programme, gave on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redressal of the same. He assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time bound manner.
The DDC said that the district administration Poonch is making persistent efforts to ensure that all the basic amenities are provided to the common masses at their doorsteps so that they don't have to visit the Government offices for getting their works done.
The DDC directed the officers and officials of different departments to play a proactive role in fulfilling developmental requirements of the rural areas.
On the occasion, a number of revenue documents and other Government services were provided to the common masses. |
