GDC Udhampur commences Signature Campaign

JAMMU, Oct, 21: Education and Fitness holistically are considered as important tools for enhancing the capability and overall mental, physical and social health of youth and community as a whole. Under the guidance of Commissioner Secretary Talat Parvez Rohella, who initiated the idea of Education and Health to reach the door steps of far flung villages of UT, J&K assigned the "Signature Campaign" of importance of Health and Fitness among youth and communities. Whereby under the leadership of Principal, Dr. Satinder Kaur and staff members of GDC Neeli Nallah commenced the "Signature Campaign" with "Health and Fitness" as a Slogan to be taken ahead with the practice to be followed in the future.
A two-day event regarding "Health and Fitness" was organized from 20th to 21st October 2020. On 20th of October 2020, an awareness programme was organized during which information about Running and Healthy Eating Plan was imparted among the local masses, students and staff. On 21st of October 2020, a Sprint of 100 Meter Race was organized in which more than 20 Students participated. Among the 20 participants, 3 students were nominated for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position. Meanwhile, in the Post-Lunch Session e-certificates and prizes were distributed among the participants.
