DDC Ramban inaugurates newly constructed Bus stand, Community hall at Ukhral

RAMBAN, Oct, 21: District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan, today reviewed the progress under various development schemes in twin blocks of Pogal and Ukhral as part of the Block Diwas programme.
Block Development Council (BDC), Chairpersons, Ukhral, Karlip Singh and Pogal, besides ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu; CMO, Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat; Xens of PWD, PMGSY, CHO, DSHO, BDOs and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The DDC inaugurated newly constructed Bus stand at Ukhral completed at an expenditure of Rs. 1.70 crore under languish project scheme and Community Hall costing Rs. 1. 20 crore.
The DDC also listened to the issues during public meetings and resolved most of the demands on the spot. Enroute he also interacted with the people at Kunda and other places.
The DDC informed that Block Diwas a public-officer interaction regarding rural problems would be organized on every Wednesday as per schedule issued by the administration at the block headquarters to ensure monitoring of all development works and schemes besides resolving the other issues at block level with the involvement of PRIs and general public.
The BDC chairperson and PRIs raised various issues including winter stocking for far-flung areas of Ukhral, water supply for community hall, completion and maintenance of Bingara, Panla Gowala, Paristan, Senabathi and other local roads, Bus service for Senabathi, overcharging of vehicle fair.
Similarly people demanded road connectivity and additional Class room for Higher Secondary School Pogal, ration dumping store and Panchyat Ghar for Pogal, clearance of pending payments of 14FC and PMAY works, water supply scheme for Maligam village besides electrification of uncovered houses of Kilwagan area.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to resolve the issues at the block level. He also exhorted upon all the officers to submit action taken report on the complaints received related to their department with details on further courses of action.
Earlier, ACD and all other district/sectoral officers presented a detailed presentation regarding progress of all ongoing works in different panchayats under their respective departments.
