| Naka Manjari Chowk dedicated to martyred constable | | |  Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Oct, 22: On the direction of Police headquarter and SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral (JKPS ) that SDPO Mendhar Zaheer Abbas Jafri along with SHO Gursai Insp. Kamal Singh organized a simple function at naka manjari middle where Sarpanch Sayaf Ahmed khan and others participated. In the function SDPO Mendhar highlights the services of police and proposed a local chowk as Shaheed Istafaq Chowk, who attained martyrdom after fighting bravely on 10/09/1995 in an anti militancy operation at kenipora Srinagar. All participants appreciated this initiative which was then inaugurated by Abdul Ghani Naib Tehsildar Harni. After that inaugural function photo of martyred was displayed in Govt High School Hullo Mohra by Principal Govt.HSS Harni Berket Hussain in presence of other dignitaries. People of the area lauded this step of Police to remember its martyred. |
