JAMMU, Oct, 22: Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Jammu Mukesh Singh threw open the Police Martyrs' Memorial Sports festival at District Police Lines Udhampur and inaugurated the Model Police Naka at Jakheni Chowk along the Udhampur- Srinagar National Highway here today.
The sports festival shall comprise of different sports events like Kabbadi, Volleyball tournaments as well as cultural programmes. Various sports teams from District Udhampur shall be participating in this sports event.
IGP Jammu, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, SSP Udhampur along with other Police officers interacted with the players and assured them of providing all kind of support to boost sports activities and channelize the talent of the youth of the district.
IGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh also held a meeting to discuss the crime scenario with all SDPOs and SHOs in which the scenario for the forthcoming Navratra festivals, Panchayat/Zila Parishad Elections in UT J&K were also discussed. |
