Jammu, Oct 22: Police on Thursday seized contraband of heroin from Mendhar area of bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral here said that on specific information about the dealing of narcotics between unknown persons in Basoni area in the intervening night of October 21-22, SDPO Mendhar Zaheer Abbas Jafri along with police party of SHO Mendhar launched searches.
"During a search, they recovered narcotics (Heroin) in three packets weighing 3.2 kg worth crores in the international market," he said.
However, a case under FIR No 247/2020 has been registered at Police Station Mendhar and investigation is going on to trace its linkages. |
