Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 22: Kotli Colony Welfare Trust (KCWT) today paid tributes to Kotli martyrs and observed 22nd Oct as Black day in the history of modern India.
The biggest genocide and mass exodus of people happened who lived in Kotli, Mirpur, Bhimber, Muzzafarabad and even Rajouri and Poonch.
“More than 70000 people have died in massacre of 1947at Rajouri, Poonch areas. Same aggressions were seen in Kashmir and even Gilgit Baltistan area where Pakistan Army with arms and ammunition have joined rebel group and looted and plunder the area”, the protesters said. Chandan Datta said the worst part was that it took almost 70 years when West Pakistani Refugee people gets their right and due share. “We demand reservation for our young children in school and colleges on the pattern of Kashmiri pandit migrants. We are still struggling for our rights and fighting with different governments in power at centre to seek justice from them but what we have got in hand is a lollypop of first installment of 5.5 lacs out of the total 25 lac which is unjustified as money can't compensate the sufferings of our people have gone through in these last long 70 yrs. Still this process is going on and alot of families are pending to get this first installment even. We demand immediate second installment for which Modi led GVT have promised and commit to give and reservation for our children in colleges”, he said.
