JAMMU, Oct, 23: Thakur Shiv Dev Singh former MLA and Senior Congress leader has expressed concern over shortage of drinking water to the residents of Vasuki Vihar Road locality of Bharat Nagar Bantalab for the past several days.
A deputation of the residents of Vasuki Vihar, Bharat Nagar, Bantalab met with Th. Shiv Dev Singh, Ex-MLA & Senior Congress leader and narrated their grievances regarding scarcity of drinking water problem. He said that the residents complained that the routine supply of drinking water in their area was given on alternative day but later on once or twice a week. As a result the people have been compelled to purchase drinking water from private water tankers on costly payments. PCC leader draw the attention of the LG administration towards this basic need of people and demanded that Govt. should ensure proper supply of drinking water to the people instead of making hollow slogans.
