| SSP Samba inaugurates District Premier League Cricket Tournament | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Oct, 23: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Rajesh Sharma-JKPS, accompanied by Addl. SP Samba in presence of family members of J&K Police Martyrs inaugurated "District Premier League Cricket Tournament" at Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium, Samba under Sports Festival being organized by District Police Samba w.e.f. 21.10.2020 to 31.10.2020.
The sports festival is being organized in the loving memory of J&K Police Martyrs who laid down their lives to uphold the integrity and sovereignty of Nation. The first event of the sports festival i.e. cricket tournament will be played from 23.10.2020 to 31.10.2020 in which 09 teams across the district Samba are going to participate. The tournament will be played on knock out basis and the best two teams/players from the tournament will be selected for further Range Level competition. On this occasion, all territorial officers of district Police, Officers from civil administration, prominent citizens, youth and family members of Martyrs attended the inaugural event. Besides this tournament, Run for Unity and a volleyball tournament will also be part of this sports festival. Moreover, a Debate competition and cultural event are also part of this week long programme. |
