SDM Bani visits Doulha Mata shrine

BANI, Oct, 23: Doulha Mata Bani, famous shrine of Chandi Mata in Kathua District of Tehsil Bani where one has to walk almost 5 hour on foot to reach there, SDM Bani, Joginder Singh Jarotia went there for the Darshan of Chandi Mata wherein the Committee members appraised him of several issues.
On his arrival; Welfare Committee who has been serving the devotees for the last 12 years and made all arrangements of their stay, food for free welcomed the SDM Bani with flowers.
The Welfare Committee also help out the patients for their surgeries for problems related to eyes like cataract, glaucoma and nearly 600 patients have been operated so far besides the Committee also holds health camps wherein more than 1400 patients have been examined.
SDM Joginder was honored with Chunri of Committee by Doulha Mata Chairman, Gori Shankar which he appreciated besides lauding the work of the Trust and said this is one of the best shrine trusts he has ever observed in my life.
He appreciated the dedication and management of Maa Chandi Welfare Committee, Chairman of the trust highlighted the issue like light, problem of road connectivity and Sharamshal for devotees. After giving a patient hearing, the SDM assured them that their issues will be solved at the earliest.
He assured them soon he will start the work of Dharamshal for Yatris which he said is the need of hour and very soon he will meet the trust members, BDO Bani, Sarpanch of Panchayat and look into the matter and will do the needful.
