Online training on GeM registration held for MSME unit holders

KISHTWAR, Oct 23: An online training programme regarding registration on the GeM portal for MSME units was today conducted here by District Industries Centre Kishtwar. The GeM platform provides for transparency, accountability and bringing fair competitiveness in the buying and selling process.
General Manager, DIC, Pawan Parihar; State Taxes Officer Circle, Mohammad Ashfaq Khanji; Functional Manager DIC, Dharam Pal Singh; representative of JK Bank Lovemeet Singh, besides about 40 unit holders associated with Industries department participated in the training here in the VC room of DC Office Kishtwar here.
About 10 unit holders were connected through a link in the training programme from different locations as well.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, who is also holding the additional charge of GM DIC, highlighted the vitality of the training programme and its implications for having a fair and transparent system. He urged all the participants to utilize the benefits of the training programme.
He informed the participants that Registration on GeM portal as seller will provide the MSME(Micro Small Medium Entrepreneurs) a platform of fair competitiveness which will not only ease the buying / selling process but will make it more transparent and accountable .
State Taxes Officer guided the unit holders about GST and Timely return filing and reimbursement of GST, while as Associate Executive officer JK Bank highlighted the NPA cases and how to use loan properly. Functional Manager DIC, educated the participants regarding various incentives offered by Govt to unit holders and various mandatory registration required by the unit holders. Programme concluded with the pledge by the unit holders to immediately start the registration on the GeM portal for enabling the UT Government to realise the benefits of responsive & accountable system in the future.
