10 vehicles seized for illegal mining, transportation of construction material

SAMBA, Oct 23: Continuing its stern action against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba Police seized 10 vehicles including 6 dumpers, 3 tippers and 1 tractor across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction materials.
A Police team of PP Rakh Amb-Talli while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, intercepted 3 vehicles including two dumpers bearing Regd No JK21E-0234 and JK21C-9000 and a tractor bearing Regd No JK21E-3434 for illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material.
Acting on reliable information, a Police team of PP Supwal intercepted three tippers bearing Regd No JK22F-8082, JK21-9551 and JK02CG-7986 at Nanak Chack for illegal transportation of construction material.
In the jurisdictional area of PS Bari Brahmana, 3 dumpers bearing Regd No JK02CG-8021, JK02CG-6549 and JK02CM-8121 were intercepted by police party of PS Bari Brahmana near Birpur for illegal transportation of construction material.
Similarly, Police team of PS Samba while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Nud, intercepted a dumper bearing Regd No JK08F-9581which was used to transport construction material illegally.
All the 10 vehicles intercepted by Samba Police during the last 24 hours were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
