Ramban, Banihal worst victims of govt's apathy: Harsh
10/24/2020 11:42:56 PM
Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Oct, 24: Launching a scathing attack on all the traditional parties and successive State governments for ignoring district Ramban in all spheres, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister also accused the diabolical BJP regime of dishonouring the expectations of the local people including the unemployed youth. There is abound discontent and disenchantment with peope repenting their decision of having voted for those who brazenly disregarded their pious promises and pushed the already deprived people to the wall, Harsh rued. He was addressing a huge public meeting at Ramban town in Ramban constituency today.
Addressing the people, Harsh Dev Singh went down memory lanes and narrated the propaganda of BJP during 2014 Assembly elections which vowed to bring much hyped 'Achey Din' for the people. He said that the Saffron clan had bugled an 'era of development' with massive fanfare but all turned hoax. "The development came to a grinding halt. Corruption, nepotism, unemployment soared to all time high during the erstwhile regime. Youth were the major casualty of the coalition's apathy and callousness. People were forced to live at the mercy of God. There was no virtual impact of the national schemes on the ground. The masses were deprived of the envisaged benefits while the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats overtly looted public money', Harsh recalled.
On local issues, Harsh Dev Singh said that sought due share for local youth of district Ramban in employment. Taking a dig at the construction companies who were allotted highway and railway projects, he accused the big corporate houses including AFCON, Gammon India and CPPL of violating the terms of agreement signed with erstwhile State govt with regard to engagement of local workers in various ongoing projects."These companies who were outsourced the ongoing projects for the very first time, hobnobbed with the local administration and influential political incumbents to deprive the local youth of their 70% share in employment.
