Chief Secretary, Advsiors greet people on Dussehra

SRINAGAR, Oct 24: The Chief Secretary, B V R Subrahmanyam, today extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Dussehra.
In his message on the eve of Dussehra, the Chief Secretary said that this festival is a celebration of victory of good over evil, truth over untruth and inspires us to adopt the principles of honesty, truthfulness, and righteousness in our lives.
The Chief Secretary hoped that the festival further strengthens the bond of brotherhood, and urged people to abide by the COVID appropriate behaviour during the festivities.
Advisor to Lt. Governor, K. K. Sharma has extended Mahanavami and Dussehra greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his message, the Advisor described Dussehra as an occasion to mark and celebrate the victory of good over bad. He said the festival signifies that virtue always prevails over the distorted tendencies.
While highlighting the importance of Mahanavami, the Advisor said that the occasion marks the culmination of Navratri festivities. The Navratras signifies inculcation of spiritual and mythological ethos among the people by living together with love and peace. The festival is being celebrated throughout the country and people observe fast during the sacred days. People worship Goddess Durga, who showers her blessings on her devotees for ensuring well being.
The Advisor further hoped that the occasions would usher an era of peace and prosperity in the State, besides opening new vistas of thought, expansion of mind and cultivation of a humane temperament and global values in everyone. He also hoped that these festivals would strengthen our resolve to fight against the global pandemic of COVID 19 .
The Advisor further appealed the people to follow all the SOPs put in place for COVID 19 while celebrating the festivals.
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, has extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra.
In his message, Advisor Bhatnagar said, “Dussehra is a pious and principled path exemplified by the life and deeds of Lord Rama. It also honours Goddess Durga’s battle against Mahishasura, fighting the evil forces”.
The Advisor maintained that we should resolve ourselves to celebrate the power of light over darkness, binding all communities in the true sense of brotherhood and motivating us to make renewed efforts for unity and progress of entire Jammu and Kashmir.
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra.

The Advisor added that we should resolve ourselves to celebrate the power of light over darkness, binding all communities in the true sense of brotherhood and motivating us to make renewed efforts for unity and progress of entire Jammu and Kashmir. “Let us keep our spirits high, by taking the right precautions in the fight against COVID-19 while celebrating this auspicious festival”, he added.
The Advisor prayed for peace and prosperity of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
