District Police Samba organizes "Run for Unity"

SAMBA, Oct, 25: In continuation with Sports festival and flag day programmes, District Police Samba organized "Run for Unity" from Govt Degree College Samba to District Police Lines Samba which was flagged off by Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Rajesh Sharma.
The event "Run for Unity" which commenced from GDC Samba after covering the distance of about 3 Kms was culminated at DPL Samba where all the participants were given refreshment by District Police Samba besides stalls of mineral water were also put in place enroute by Samba Police.
This event organized by Samba Police was divided into four different categories i.e for men below 25 yrs, men between 25-35 yrs, Girls and Police personnel.
The winners of the events were honoured with cash prizes and certificates by SSP Samba. The winners of all different categories include (Men's category below 25 yrs)- Bikram Singh (18 yrs) son of Nitu Singh R/O Satah (cash reward of Rs 2000), Rahul Singh (18yrs) son of Rattan Singh R/O Nud (cash reward of Rs 1000) and Liyaquat Ali (18 yrs) son of Abdul Gani (cash reward of Rs 1000) while in (Men's category between 25-35 yrs)- Rahul Singh (26 yrs) son of Shamsher Singh R/O Nud (cash reward of Rs 2000), Vir Partap Singh (34 yrs) son of Shiv Dev Singh of Gurah Slathia (cash reward of Rs 1500)
In Girls category- Babi Gill (20 yrs) D/o Kak Masih R/O Utterbehni (cash reward of Rs 2000), Preeti Gill (22 yrs) D/o Kak Masih R/O Utterbehni (cash reward of Rs 1500), Shivani Slathia (15 yrs) D/o Randev Singh R/O Gurha Slathia (cash reward of Rs 1000) and Kashish Slathia (14 yrs) D/o Sanjeev Singh R/O Gurha Slathia (cash reward of Rs 1000).
SSP Samba in his address appreciated the sportsmanship of participants and urged them to inculcate their energies in right directions and contribute in nation building.
