JAMMU, Oct, 25: The police rescued a kidnapped minor girl from Ludhiana in Punjab while her kidnapper has also been arrested, police said.
"Acting on a written application received at PP Chinore on October 15 from father of the kidnapped girl wherein it was stated that he is presently residing at Bantalab, Jammu in a rented accommodation and on October 13at about 4 pm his minor daughter went to market and did not return back home," said police.
On this, a case FIR No 297/2020 U/S 363 IPC was registered at Police station Domana and investigation was started at PP Chinore by I/C PP Chinore SI Deepak Bharti.
Special teams under the guidance of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul were made and by connecting the various leads a team went for search of the accused in Punjab.
After hectic efforts and with the support of technical assistance of the native police of the concerned areas finally the kidnapped minor girl was recovered from accused in Ludhiana and accused person identified as Altaf Ahmed, son of Abdul Khaliq of Kalar Karal Surankote, District Poonch was also arrested. Further investigation is going on. |
