USTA opposes new retirement policy of Government
10/25/2020 11:18:16 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct, 25: An emergency meeting of J & K United School Teachers Association (USTA) was held under the chairmanship of Rajeev Kumar its president to discuss notification of UT Government dated by 22-10-2020 regarding premature retirement after 22 years service or attaining the age of 48 years.
The meeting in one voice opposes the curtailment in the age of retirement of Government employees which is unjustified, illogical, disturbing and against the interest of employees. The present regime at the centre is continuously snatching the trade union rights of the working class and already freezed the DA of Govt. Employees.
There are already so many rules, guidelines, code of conduct and laws to check and punish the employees on their unethical functioning, if any. Now by resorting to this unprecedented action, the U.T. Govt. aimed to keep employees under pressure and provide opportunity to authorities to suppress their subordinates which had exposed its anti employee, anti people and anti working class face. USTA with one voice calls upon the authorities concerned to repeal the so-called draconian notification. Others who were present in the meeting include Hari Singh, Youns Rahi, Roop Chand, Zulifkar Ali Malik, Angad Singh, Pardeep Singh, Anju Saini, Raj Kumar and Sandesh Kumar etc.
