Annual Vijaydashmi address: RSS chief ‘intentionally’ ignores Abdullahs, Muftis to undermine their importance
10/25/2020 11:46:09 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 25: In an attempt to undermining importance of NC stalwart Dr Farooq Abdullah and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat did not mention even a single word about formation of ‘alliance in Kashmir Valley to restore Article 370 and 35-A.
It is the first time after so many years that any RSS chief in his annual Vijaydashmi address has not touched J&K as there is a feeling among Sangh Parivar that the so-called Kashmir issue has been solved after decisions taken on August 5, 2019.
For years together successive RSS chiefs used to touch J&K in their annual Dusshera address as this address on this day is considered as Sangh Parivar ‘suggestions’ to the Union Government.
RSS chief only made a passing remark about abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019 without further elaborating. “Article 370 was abrogated, the country accepted the Supreme Court verdict on Ram temple with patience and understanding,” he said. “Many noteworthy incidents occurred in the last one year. Before last year's Dussehra function Article 370 became ineffective following due parliamentary procedures. Bhoomipujan for grand Ram Mandir was performed on August 5, 2020, based on the Supreme Court's unambiguous judgment on November 9, 2019. During the groundbreaking ceremony of the Ram temple, we witnessed the patience and sensibility of all Indians during these events. The lawful passage of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) also took place,” Bhagwat said.
Political analysts were of the view that by ignoring ‘Gupkar Declaration’ in annual address, RSS chief has given a wide and clear message that Centre was not going to take signatories of this ‘Declaration’ very seriously and their ‘blackmail’ politics was not going to yield any result in future.
It is widely observed that ignoring Abdullahs and Muftis in his address is part of the strategy of the Sangh Parivar not to give importance to the newly formed ‘Gupkar Declaration’.
“There is no need to give importance to Abdullahs and Muftis who have looted and cheated people of J&K in the name of Article 370 for more than 70 years”, a supporter of RSS said, adding, “Sangh Parivar has realized that these dynasts have lost their credibility among general masses of Kashmir Valley”.
