| 5 vehicles seized for illegal mining, transportation of construction material | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Oct, 26: Continuing its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, teams of different Police Stations and Police Posts of District Samba seized 5 vehicles including 2 tippers and 3 tractors, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction materials.
A Police team of PP Rakh Amb-Talli while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, intercepted a tractor bearing Regd No JK21-2257 near Bain Glar for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
Police team of PP Mansar while perfoming routine vehicle checking naka at Highway Mansar intercepted a Tipper bearing Regd No JK14F-3791 for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
In the jurisdictional area of PS Vijaypur, a tipper bearing Regd No JK02CB-4366 intercepted by naka party at naka Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur for illegal transportation of construction material (sand).
All the 3 vehicles intercepted by Samba Police in the incidents were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
Similarly, Police team of PS Ramgarh while performing vehicle checking duty in its juridictional area intercepted two Tractors bearing Regd No JK21A-5060 and JK21A-6341 near Keso Manhasan which was used to transport construction material illegally. The vehicles were seized under section 207 MV Act at PS Ramgarh. |
