Jammu, Oct 26: A webinar on “22nd October 1947 Tribal Invasion in state of J&K” was organised by United Kashmir People’s National Party (UKPNP) from Switzerland which was participated by Advocate Ashok Kumar Sharma, Former Legislator and Coordinator AICC Vichar Vibhag; Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, Chairman UKPNP; Muzaffar Shah, Senior Vice- President JKANC; Dr. Misfar Hussain, Ex. Labour Councillor UK; Abbas Bhat, Chairman KNP; Mahmood Kashmiri, Chairman JKNIA; Ghulam Hassan, Ex. Labour Councillor/ Senior VP JKFM; Junaid Qureshi, Executive Director Europian Foundation for South Asian Studies (EFSAS); I D Khajuria, President JK Forum for Peace and Territorial Integrity of State; Shuja Zafar, Chairman JMF; Sardar Nassar Aziz Khan, Consultant Human Rights and Politics among others across the globe. While speaking in the virtual conference, Ashok Sharma said that 22nd October, 1947 was the darkest day in the history of state of Jammu & Kashmir. It was an earth shattering event. He added that Tribal Invasion laid the seeds of forced division and destruction of the people and state of Jammu & Kashmir. Whereas, 26th October is red letter day in Indian history when on this day, in 1947, the then ruler of the Princely state of Jammu & Kashmir finally signed the Instrument of Accession, paving way for merger of the state of Jammu & Kashmir with India.
