| Unwarranted restrictions imposed by Samba Admin irks local business community | | Despite Unlock-5 shutdown on Sunday continues | |  GURDAS KUMAR

SAMBA, Oct 27: The businessmen community of Samba district has strongly criticized the District Administration for its unwarranted restrictions of complete shutdown on Sunday despite the fact that the Center Government has issued guidelines with several relaxations in its Unlock-5.
Locals alleged that not only this restriction on Sunday even the timing for opening up of markets and other business establishments have been reduced unlike other districts, which has been creating inconvenience to the general public.
Although the Center Government had started its unlock process after three months of lockdown in the country due to COVID-19 pandemic which has now reached its fifth phase with Unlock-5 but Samba district is the only district which has its own and unusual guidelines regarding restrictions.
"Whereas in other districts markets remain open on Sunday, the Samba Administration has imposed restrictions, which continue since long causing huge loss of economy of the State and to the business community," they said.
They further said that as per new guidelines markets can open from 9 am to 9 pm but in Samba the market are allowed to operate from 9 am to 7 pm only which is beyond one's understanding, it seems that Samba Administration doesn't believe or comply with the center's guidelines which has given maximum relaxation in its Unlock-5. Despite repeated contact with the DDC Samba, he couldn't be contacted. |
