Kapahi initiates developmental works worth Rs 25 lakhs at Bhagwati Nagar

JAMMU, Oct 27: In continuation of the efforts to provide the services to the public; Corporator Parmod Kapahi initiated developmental works worth Rs 25 lakhs here at Ward No 14 Bhagwati Nagar. He kick started repair of lane and drains and fixing of grating.
This was a pending demand of the residents which has been finally met, the Corporator said in presence of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC)s AEE Vijay Kumar, JEE Sunil Gupta besides other officials of JMC. The work will be carried out at an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakhs.
On the occasion, Corporator Parmod Kapahi said that the administration is committed to provide the best possible services to people and with the coordination of people; the Ward No 14 would hopefully be developed into a model Ward of Jammu city. He said that besides done works and ongoing projects in Bhagwati Nagar more developmental projects are still in pipeline which would be carried out in future in a phased manner for the benefit of the public.
Meanwhile, the prominent Ward members apprised him of several issues and put forward demands for redressal.
After giving a keen hearing, the Corporator assured them that their all the issues and demands will be taken up with the authorities and will be addressed at the earliest. Asha Sharma, Santosh Bhagat, Radha Sharma, Vijay Sapru, Anil Gupta, Parshotam Sharma, Darshan Lal, Subash Sharma, Tak Chand, Som Raj were also present on the occasion.
