Block Divas activities held across Rajouri

RAJOURI, Oct, 28: To redress the grievances of the common masses in a time bound manner, the district administration Rajouri under the overall supervision of the District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today organised Block Diwas programmes at identified locations across the district.
Official teams took appraisal of local issues to redress the same thereby providing governance to the public at their doorsteps.
A series of activities were organised in which PRI members and the people from all sections of the society participated and projected a wide range of issues of public importance. They sought availability of potable drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, road connectivity and other matters of vital public significance during interaction with the officers and officials of different departments. A number of domicile certificates, category certificates and other revenue documents were issued on the spot.
Several grievances were also redressed with the intervention of the concerned departments and rest were documented for redressal in a time bound manner.
The officers and officials of different departments updated the people about various welfare schemes and programmes meant for their well-being and urged upon them to avail the benefits of the same.
Block Diwas programmes were organized following all the mandatory precautions like social distancing, wearing of masks and other measures in view of the COVID-19.
The locals expressed their gratitude towards the district administration for holding block divas which has now become a platform for governance at doorstep.
