| GDC Khour organizes webinar on cancer awareness | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct, 28: Govt. Degree College Khour in collaboration with Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer (LBC) organized a webinar on Cancer Awareness on the topic "Healthy Lifestyle and Cancer Prevention".
The Chief Guest on the ocassion, Prof. Hans Raj, Principal of the College presented the welcome address. The Speaker Ms Florina from Sanjeevani LBC Delhi provided a comprehensive understanding of Cancer, its early diagnosis/symptoms and its risk factors. She stressed upon unhealthy lifestyles as prime reason of increasing toxicity & low immunity of our body. The Do's & Don'ts if someone is diagnosed with cancer was brought to light & so were the cases of people who survive cancer worldwide. More than 60 participants (teachers and students) joined the webinar.
The programme concluded with a quiz competition on cancer awareness in which Roshni Choudhary, student of B.A. Sem. 5th & Rahil Choudhary, student of Sem. 1st of GDC Khour got 1st and 2nd prize respectively.
The programe was coordinated by Prof. Gurvinder Kour, NSS Programme Officer and organized by Ms. Amala, Sanjeevani LBC. |
