NMC demands release of DA

Jammu, Oct 28: Reiterating its earlier demand regarding revoking of decision of the Central Govt. with regard of freezing of release of DA installments till June 2021 in favor of both central/states and UTs, Natonal Mazdoor Conference(NMC) today appealed to the Prime's Minister, Union Finance Minister and Minister of State Finance to re-consider the decision, since the installments of the dearness allowance(DA) are additional supporting financial assistance to cope up the additional burden day to day rising prices of essential commodities and COVID-19 pandemic. “Reconsideration of the earlier decision of the Central Govt. has so become in evitable, dearness relief is not wage increase its just a compensation against the erosion of real wages and the cost of living,” Shastri and others said this in a three separate memorandums sent to them. Signaturing in the memorandums included. Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S. Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ram Singh, Darshan Bawa, Ramesh Sharma, Tarseem Sharma, J.P.Sharma, Gara Ram, Mohd Sadeeq, Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh.
