Police organises debate competition on “Drug Addiction and how to get rid of this menace”

Samba, Oct 28: Continuing with the series of events under Flag Day programmes, Samba Police today organized Debate Competition on the topic “Drug Addiction and how to get rid of this menace” at District Police Lines, Samba in which 26 participants took part in the competition.
In the debate competition, Vandana Kumari, a student of Nav Vidya School Dhlote, Samba secured 1st position, whereas Angana Sambyal of Adarsh Vidyapeeth, Samba secured 2nd position and Tamana Devi of BBN High School, Vijaypur secured 3rd position.
The participants who secured 1st, 2nd & 3rd position were awarded with monetary rewards, trophies & certificates. However, all other participating students were also presented with certificates of appreciation.
The debate presented by the participating students was highly appreciable and their knowledge as well as presentation skills was remarkable.
SSP Samba Rajesh Sharma, JKPS who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, appealed the youth to refrain from drug menace and put their best efforts in nation building. SSP Samba further said that Samba Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people specially youth aware about the ill effects of the drugs abuse on the society by organizing such drug awareness programmes. At the end of the programme, refreshment was also served to all the guests/participants.
