SAMBA, Oct, 29: District Police Samba has arrested seven Gamblers in the jurisdiction of PS Samba & PS Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money of Rs 50,500/- from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, the Police team of PS Samba raided the gambling spot near Supwal and arrested three gamblers namely Rakesh Kumar, Mohd. Parvez, Sandeep Singh and four sets of playing Cards. Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Samba.
In another Similar incident, Police Party of PS Bari Brahmana while performing patrolling duty in Birpur area caught four persons red-handed gambling in an open area. The accused persons identified as Kewak Krishan, Taqdir Singh, Ravi Kumarand Rohit Rana Birpur, Bari Brahmana have been arrested along with stake money of Rs. 3000 and a set of playing cards. Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Bari Brahmana. |
