Div Com Jammu reviews progress on Health sector projects

JAMMU, Oct, 29: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma, today reviewed the progress on health sector projects coming up in different parts of Jammu division, here at a high level meeting.
The meeting took stock of the pace of work on Medical College Doda, Kathua, Rajouri and State Cancer Institute at Government Medical College Jammu and Bone and Joint Hospital Jammu.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of Kathua, Doda and Rajouri, Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) Jammu, SE, PWD Jammu-Kathua Circle, SE, PWD (R&B) Rajouri-Poonch Circle, SE, PWD (R&B) Doda, Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Division Kathua, Doda and Rajouri through video conferencing. SE and Executive Engineer of PWD were also present in the meeting.
Chief Engineer PWD Jammu informed that 42 percent work on ground floor and basement of Bone and Joint Hospital has been completed and remaining work will be completed in 2021.
The DC Kathua, O.P Bhagat informed that 80 % work of Rs 139 crore GMC complex with 200 bedded Hospital, residential block and administrative block has been completed, while work on remaining buildings will be taken up in next financial year.
Principal Medical College Doda apprised the Div Com that 78% work of GMC Doda which includes residential block and administrative block, Boys and Girls Hostels has been completed and remaining work on the project will be completed in next financial year.
The Div Com asked the Principal GMC Doda to float separate tenders of Rs. 3.67 crore for Water and Rs. 5.07 crore for Electricity work after completing all codal formalities.
The DC Rajouri informed that 95% work has been completed on 2 blocks of GMC and remaining works will be completed in March, 2021.
Earlier, the Divisional Commissioner convened a video conference meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division to review the progress on revised stamp duty rates of immovable property.
The Deputy Commissioners informed that the process for finalizing the revised stamp duty rates is in progress.
The Divisional Commissioner also sought details from the DCs regarding publication of Roshni cases of their respective district. It was informed that the lists of cases of Roshni Act have been published.
