10/30/2020 12:04:26 AM

Early times Report

Jammu, Oct 29: Within days after formation of ‘Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration’ by a group of Kashmir centric, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti today started ‘taunted’ alliance partner Omar Abdullah for utilizing much time on the social media.
“I am not like those politicians who usually spend most of their time on Twitter to highlight political issues”, Mehbooba said- in an obvious reference towards Omar Abdullah- who is very active on social media, especially Twitter.
“I will fight against new land laws on the streets. I am a street fighter”, she asserted and warned that she will not sit silently against the anti-people policies of the BJP led NDA government at the Centre.
As the administration has not allowed PDP to take out protest rally against new land laws, she dared the Centre to fight with China after killing 20 Indian soldiers in Ladakh.
“You are using suppressive measures on people of J&K. But why don't you fight with China who killed our 20 soldiers. You can try to suppress us but we will foil your plans for which we can go to any extent,” , she said.
“PDP workers were peacefully protesting against land law passed by the BJP government to loot J&K land. Our workers were arrested and I wasn’t allowed to meet them. Neither civil society nor politicians can talk here, the entire J&K has been converted into a jail,” she said and claimed that people of Jammu and Ladakh were also against new land laws.
