Early Times Report
KUPWARA, Oct, 31: In order to interact with the promising entrepreneurs and loan beneficiaries the MD, SFC Rajesh Shavan conducted two days tour of Lolab and Kupwara area. He visited Sogam, chandigam, Devpur and Kupwara head quarter. The officer was accompanied by District manager Quam Shah and his team. During the tour Shavan interacted with entrepreneurs and youth who showed keen interest to start their own business with financial support from Govt. While speaking on the occasion the MD said that govt is keen to help and hand hold the unemployed youth as per the policies and the youth should fully avail the benefits of schemes. They shouldn't wait for only Govt jobs as the jobs are very limited. He said that by starting their own units they can become job providers in their localities. Mr. Shavan further assured the participants that the dept will provide hassle free service to them but will be very firm in recovery of outstanding govt money. Some of the participants who are beneficiaries of loan schemes demanded waiving of loan interest in view of covid -19 pandemic. However the MD said that it is a policy matter which needs consideration at Govt level and not at directorate level. Sarpanches/ panches of kupwara attended and highly appreciated the visit of the managing Director. They expected such interaction at tehsil / panchayat level in future also so that the grievances are redressed at door step. Pertinently mr shavan after taking over in the dept visited Rajour/poonch in first go and is presently on ten days tour of valley to understand ground functioning of department.
