| Mayor kick starts various development works | | |

JAMMU, Nov 10: Continuing his endeavor to provide development activities to the citizens of Jammu City, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta today kick started the construction work of platform with tiles as well as installation of iron grills around the already commissioned open air gym along opposite AG Office at Shiv Nagar Jammu of Ward No 33.
Parmod Kapahi Councilor of Ward No 14, Surinder Chowdhary Councilor of Ward No 29, Keshav Chopra Mandal President BJP, Asha Devi, Vinod Kumar and other prominent inhabitants of the locality as well as Laxaman Singh Jamwal Executive Engineer (Electrical) JMC, Arun Gupta Executive Engineer, S.K. Bhat Junior Engineer of Engineering Division - II, other supervisory Staff of Health Section of JMC were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that this open air gym with requisite number of equipments was established here on the demands of locals and morning walkers association during the lockdown period and the remaining development work in terms of installation of well-furnished tiles and railing has now been started at the estimated cost of Rs 5.75 lakh only. He also directed the Executive Engineer (Electrical) JMC for installation of sufficient number of LED Street Lights near the site of open air gym to avoid prevailing darkness near the spot especially during morning and evening hours. |
