Urs celebrated with religious fervour

Kishtwar, Nov 10: Annual Urs of 17th century Suffi saint Hazrat Shah Mohammad Asrar-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA)commonly known as Asrar Sahib was celebrated with religious fervour on Tuesday at Kishtwar. Despite COVID 19, thousands of people from different parts of the state and outside have started to arrive in Kishtwar town right from Sunday evening for making their presence in annual Urs of Asrar Sahib. Hundreds of people from different parts of state have arrived in Kishtwar District and participated in day long prayers which continue whole night- the Urs celebration will come to end tomorrow morning.
In the morning special prayers also held inside the shrine of Asrar Sahib before the annual Urs were declared as close. Meanwhile District Administration Kishtwar has put an elaborated arrangements like medicines, fire service, construction of artificial toilets, installation of high mask lights, generators, installation of water taps, cleanliness, tenting from Tourism Department while locals along with Sajada Nasheen (caretakers) made food arrangements for visiting pilgrims. Police have also made an elaborated security arrangement to deal with any law and order problem, beside to keep an eye on anti national and criminal elements. Police personal in civil dresses were also deployed in large numbers in and around the shrine of Hazrat Shah Mohammad Asrar-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA) and Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA). The annual Urs of Hazrat Mohammad Shah Asrar-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA) celebrations have attracted thousands of devotees in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
