Has BJP sidelined Ram Madhav from J&K affairs ?

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 10: Visit of Tarun Chug, the newly appointed national general secretary of BJP, to Jammu three days back has fuelled the reports that Saffron Brigade has sidelined party’s point-man Ram Madhav from affairs of J&K.
Chug, who was picked up as national general secretary by party president J P Nadda on September 26, had visited Jammu on November 7 and took stock of situation in the UT regarding the DDC elections.
Chug held meetings with leaders including J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina, party general secretary (org) Ashok Kaul, BJP national secretary, Dr Narinder Singh and Prabhari Kashmir and general secretary, Vibodh Gupta. Highly placed sources said BJP high command has decided to relieve Ram Madhav from day-today activities of the party of J&K and Ladakh. Even during the recently held Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, Ram Madhav was conspicuous by his absence during electioneering. Apart from two union ministers, it was Tarun Chug who managed all affairs of the party in Leh also during LAHDC elections.
Sources said that BJP high command was not ‘convinced’ with the role played by Ram Madhav since 2014. Although Ram Madhav was architect of PDP-BJP alliance after the untimely death of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, high command was not happy with his style of functioning as he had reportedly projected some leaders who miserably failed to perform.
