Press Club Jammu trounces AMCO Cricket Club, Bishnah

JAMMU, Nov 15: Under the ongoing series, Nirbhay Bharat Foundation has conducted second match under the banner of ‘NBF T20 2020-21 Friendship Cup’ at JKCA Ground, Science College Jammu. The match was held between AMCO Cricket Club, Bishnah and Press Club Jammu. The match was organized under the chairmanship of social worker and Founder of Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, Tarun Uppal.
In today's match, the SHO Nowabad, Deepak Jasrotia was the Chief Guest while Gulshan Rathan, Founder SCAF was the Guest of Honour.
After winning the toss in today's match, the Captain of Press Club-11 Jammu decided to bowl first.
Batting first, Amco Cricket Club scored 149 runs in the stipulated 20 overs with three wickets and gave the team a target of 150 runs.
Batting from the team, the openers could not do much and lost their wickets for just 2 runs. On the other hand, Arun scored 24, Sidd played a half-century innings of 58 runs while Sahil scored 49 runs with him.
For the Press Club Jammu, Dinesh Mahajan, Tejas and Patel all took 1-1 wickets. At the same time, openers Rupesh Raj and Jugal, who came out from the Press Club 11 to hit the target, stole 20 runs in the first over, playing a quick innings, due to which the bowler's leg was slightly damaged, but returning to Amco bowlers again bowled excellently. Raghav's best batting came from the team, in which he scored 65 runs in just 36 balls.
Mohit scored 31, Rupesh 16 and Jugal 15. Sahil and Kaka took 2–2 wickets in bowling from Amco.
The Press Club took 5 wickets and scored the match in 19.1 overs with the goal. At the end, Press Club 11 Jammu defeated Amco Cricket Club Bishnah.
Tarun Uppal said that the purpose of organizing this tournament is to provide a better platform to the youth so that they can stay away from drugs and participate in sports vigorously. He said that this tournament is an attempt to connect the society.
