DDC Kishtwar inspects patient care in District Hospital

KISHTWAR, Nov 17: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Kumar Sharma today paid a surprise visit to District hospital and reviewed the facilities available for the patient care.
He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Parveez Iqbal Wani besides other officials.
The DDC inspected OPD section, Emergency Department, Diagnostics Section, ICU, NICU, Dialysis Unit, Wards and Blood Bank. During inspection, he directed the Medical Superintendent to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene in all sections and wards of the hospital. He also reviewed the staff position in the District Hospital and stressed on maintaining punctuality. He also inspected the isolation wards meant for the COVID-19 patients and reviewed the facilities in place in these wards.
Meanwhile, he also visited the construction site of 100 bedded additional IPD building and asked the executing agency JKPCC, to expedite the pace of work and complete the project as per the timeline. He also took stock of ongoing construction work on eye block besides reviewed the functioning of the AMT school.
