JAMMU, Nov 21: Secretary BJP Jammu and Kashmir Rekha Mahajan said that Jammu Kashmir will witness similar development like other parts of the country is the desire of PM Narendra Modi. "Previous regimes in Jammu and Kashmir have always thought about their families and relatives and left the people to lurch at large .It is the Modi government which took initiative to strengthen grass root democratic institutions in J&K said Rekha Mahajan in a statement.
She added that even after 70 years of independence previous government's deprived people of real democracy. Conducting BDC elections earlier and now DDC elections which are now being held for the first time is a major step in the history of J&K.
The funds which had been coming to Jammu and Kashmir for development have been looted by these dynasty leaders. Not even half of those funds would have been utilized for the development here. These parties always betrayed the people of J&K.
