Jammu, Nov 21: Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu organized a virtual Musical Concert “Mere Sur…Meri Aawaaz '' with daughter of the Soil Ms Sonali Dogra, winner of the Voice of Punjab Award & Display Your Talent, JU Alumnus. The musical extravaganza was attended by a large number of students, faculty & members of the civil society. The concert was also attended by music lovers from abroad who appreciated this endeavour and congratulated Prof Manoj K. Dhar Vice Chancellor for organizing this musical afternoon and which gave them an opportunity to connect with their soil. Prof Manoj. K Dhar , Vice Chancellor, was the chief Guest on the occasion. Prof. Dhar congratulated the Department of Students Welfare for leaving no stone unturned to make Jammu University’s cultural platform vibrant during this tough COVID Time and appreciated Ms Sonali Dogra’s zeal and participation and enthralling the audience with her melodious voice making Jammu and University of Jammu proud. Earlier in his welcome address Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students welcomed esteemed Vice Chancellor and thanked him for encouraging the department by his gracious presence in the virtual programmes/events organized by the Department of Students Welfare. Prof Singh also thanked and appreciated Ms Sonali Dogra for making a mark globally with her soulful voice. The programme was organized under the supervision of Prof. Anupama Vohra Chairperson, CCC and other members of the team in the Department of Students Welfare. The event was coordinated by Ms Ifra Kak, Cultural Officer (SW) and technically supported by Mr Arif Paul, Technical Assistant (SW).
