RAMBAN, Nov 21: District administration Ramban today organized training programmes for the polling staff including Presiding officers, Polling officers 1, 2 and 3 at Banihal, Gool and Ramban here today.
Deputy District Election Officer (Dy. DEO), Ramban, Lal Chand informed that 1600 employees have been trained for the conduct of 8 phase District Development Council and Panchayat, Municipal Committee By Polls in the district.
He also informed that the District Election Cell has mobilized adequate men and machinery for smooth conduct of elections in the district. He said teams for training of polling staff have been deputed to ensure free and fair elections. Nodal officers for training while addressing the polling staff asked them to work with extra caution and circumspection to ensure free and fair elections.He further asked them to maintain full decorum in conduct of DDC, Panchayat and MC elections under all means.
They advised polling staff to go through the manual hand book minutely for the smooth and successful conduct of elections. He stressed upon the participants to learn carefully operating the ballot box for performing hassle free polling duty.
The Dy. DEO assured the polling staff that all the facilities and proper support from district administration will be provided.
